I don’t think that America is the “greatest” nation on earth, as many people seem to believe. I think it’s the most disappointing, but also the one with the most potential… to fess up to its 200+ years of fucking bullshit and then begin the process of transforming into something that isn’t a nation-state but rather a place I’d actually be proud to live in and fight for.
Back to Basics
Watched people burn voter registration cards, speak about direct democracy, & debate others about voting for leaders. Discussed political, economic, social, & cultural alternatives to capitalism. Dumpstered some food, gave some of it to people in the park, had a conversation with them about permaculture. Now thinking about doing a burrito-making-bicycle-delivering project just like the L.A. Burrito Project.

It takes my local police about 5 minutes to arrest an innocent black kid selling candy outside Wrigley Field (something I witnessed today), but for whatever reason, it took nearly 2 months to arrest a guy who kills a black kid in cold blood. America, FUCK YOU.
